Pizza topping slicer
Grote Co. launched the Ultramatic
Pizza Topping Slicer, a pendulum-style
slicer designed for high-production
volume with whole pattern slicing up
to 12 " with a single stroke. The new
Ultramatic gives frozen pizza producers
an easier, faster way to slice and
place toppings, especially pepperoni.
The Ultramatic can slice and place
toppings at a rate of up to 45 pizzas
per minute per lane, with three to four
lanes of capacity. Featuring a compact
footprint and ergonomic design, the
machine requires only one operator.
Its pendulum slicing functionality
features a gravity feed and Grote's
patented AccuBand blade system.

released two new Rig-A-Lite LED area
lights specialized for harsh environments
such as those experienced in
the food processing industry. The
Hazardous Food Processing Areas
High-Bay (HFPA) and newly upgraded
Food Processing High Bay (FPHB)
feature a sleek debris-shedding profile
with a drip edge, designed to be
washed down for liquid runoff under
any conditions. Both lights feature
aluminum construction with silicone
gaskets, with a finish approved by the
National Sanitation Foundation. The

High-speed palletizer
BW Flexible Systems launched the
SYMACH 3500S, a push-type palletizer
that delivers high-speed stacking and
palletizing performance for bags, bales,
crates and cases. The SYMACH 3500S
merges the original Thiele Master 3500
palletizer experience with the SYMACH
palletizing platform. One key differentiator
of the 3500S is its superior stacking
cage, which contains bags within
the specified dimensions, reducing and
preventing product overhang for a sturdier

AI vision inspection
KPM Analytics introduced TheiaVu
WD-300, an AI-enabled at-line vision
inspection system designed specifically
for meat and poultry applications
such as chicken portions, beef cuts,
and further breaded products. The new
AI- Powered TheiaVu WD-300 eliminates
the need for calipers and color
charts to save labor and avoid subjective
assessment. The at-line visual
inspection reduces all these manual
measurements into a single pass
through a conveyor for greater precision,

Robotic innovations
Kuka Robotics will feature four innovative
robotics cells at PACK EXPO
International. The live cell demonstrations
will include autonomous mobile
robot (AMR) solutions for intralogistics,
robotic palletizing/depalletizing,
a robotic bottle capping operation
and a food handling system. System
integrator Stac Material Handling
will use a KMP 1500P AMR and KR
CYBERTECH, a compact palletizing
cell simulating a palletizing process for
