McDonald's Corp., Chicago, promoted
Tiffanie Boyd to executive vice
president and global chief people
officer. In her new role, Boyd will
oversee the company's human
resources operations around the world,
including talent management, talent
acquisition, total rewards, learning
and development, DEI, culture and
organization effectiveness.
Chick-fil-A
Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A announced
the appointment of Susannah Frost as
president of the company, making her
the sixth person to hold this leadership
position since the company's founding
in 1967. As president, Frost will focus
on providing strategic clarity and
alignment in the core business so
that Chick-fil-A can sustain healthy
growth and market leadership. She
will also lead the executive committee.
Additionally, Cliff Robinson was
named chief operating officer of
Chick-fil-A.
Starbucks
Starbucks, Seattle, named Brian
Niccol its new chief executive officer.
He will succeed Laxman Narasimhan,
who is stepping down, effective
immediately. Rachel Ruggeri, chief
financial officer, will serve as interim
CEO until Niccol starts.
Target
Minneapolis-based Target Corp.
appointed Amy Tu as chief legal and
compliance officer and corporate
secretary. She will succeed Don
Liu, who announced his upcoming
retirement and will transition to a
strategic advisory role. In her new role
at Target, Tu will lead the company's
legal, compliance and corporate
governance functions.
Panera
St. Louis-based Panera Bread hired
Mark Shambura as chief marketing
officer. In his new role, Shambura will
lead marketing at Panera, including
brand building, digital and loyalty
programs, product strategy and
consumer insights.
APAC
The US Department of Agriculture
Foreign Agricultural Service's
Agricultural Policy Advisory
Committee (APAC) for Trade,
Arlington, Va., reappointed Constance
Cullman, president and chief
executive officer of the American
Feed Industry Association (AFIA),
to serve on the committee until 2028.
Tyson
Tyson Foods Inc., Springdale, Ark.,
named Devin Cole president of the
company's international business
segment. Cole will take over Amy Tu's
role after her retirement. Tu joined
Tyson in 2017 as the company's general
counsel. Cole is returning to Tyson, as
he previously served as group president
and later chief commercial officer for
the company from 1995 to 2014.

Papa John's
Papa John's International Inc.,
Louisville, Ky., appointed Todd
Penegor as president and chief
executive officer of the company.
Penegor succeeds Ravi Thanawala,
who acted as interim CEO and will
continue serving as chief financial
officer. Penegor joins Papa John's from
The Wendy's Co., where he served as
president and CEO.
NTF
The Washington-based National
Turkey Federation announced Alex
Davidson will serve as its new senior
director of public affairs. Davidson
will lead public outreach for the US
turkey industry.
Meati
Meati, Boulder, Colo., named John
Bortells its chief commercial officer.
Bortells will help drive revenue, market
growth, and oversee sales, marketing
and customer experience.
Kraft Heinz
Kraft Heinz, Chicago appointed Todd
Kaplan as chief marketing officer of
North America. Kaplan will succeed
Diana Frost, who was promoted to
chief growth officer in 2023. In his role,
Kaplan will build modern marketing
capabilities. He will also oversee the
North American Growth Office that
includes all media, digital and the
company's content studio, kitchen, and
oversee its joint ventures with NotCo
and Just Spices.
