Renewable energy
Linde announced the launch of
Linde Green, a new product line of
atmospheric gases produced with
100% renewable energy. The Linde
Green portfolio includes low-carbon
liquified oxygen, nitrogen and argon.
Instead of using conventional power
during the energy-intensive air
separation process, Linde will be
solely using certified carbon-free
sources, such as wind, hydro-electric,
and solar, at select locations in
Europe and in the United States.

Foreign material
detection system
Prospection Solutions LLC announces
a new foreign material detection design
with enhanced capability in a smaller
footprint. The new foreign material
inspection system can detect objects as
small as 1.5 mm square and is only 10
feet in length. With three model widths
available, this high-speed technology
has inspection rates up to 40,000 lbs
per hour. The IP69K FMI inspects
product from the top and bottom
simultaneously, in high-definition
color. The system has magnetic driven
motors, an intelligent high speed
rejector, and seamless positive drive
belting with tool-free belt removal.

Food safety testing
Hygiena announced that the new
quantification application (SalQuant) of
the BAX System Real-Time (RT) PCR
Assay for Salmonella has now received
AOAC-RI Performance Tested Method
approval. In addition to determining
if Salmonella is present, this test can
accurately quantify Salmonella levels
from each sample when used with the
BAX System Q7. After only eight hours
of enrichment, samples are analyzed
using the BAX System RT PCR Assay
for Salmonella on the BAX System
Q7 instrument. The resulting cycle
threshold values for positive samples is
quantified in the colony-forming units.

Shuttle and tray
conveyor
Nutec's Stainless Steel Shuttle and Tray
Conveyors can be paired with Nutec
forming equipment for streamlined
processing. The Shuttle Conveyors
take formed product that is deposited
