CHIPOTLE EXPANDS
DOORDASH DELIVERY
Chipotle Mexican Grill announced
another expansion in its partnership
with delivery service DoorDash. Food
delivery from 70 DoorDash markets is
now available from more than 1,800
Chipotle restaurants.
In April, the fast-casual restaurant
company announced a partnership
with DoorDash using the delivery
service's website and app, but now
customers can order their burritos
directly from either chipotle.com or
the Chipotle app.
The company reported in May
that there was nearly a 700 percent
increase in deliveries once it started
the partnership with DoorDash.
"Fans have long been requesting
Chipotle delivery, and as part of our
commitment to make it easy for our
customers to get the delicious food
they love when, where and how they
want it, we're rolling out our own
delivery service powered through
DoorDash as the last mile delivery
partner," said Curt Garner, chief
digital and information officer at
Chipotle. "We're proud to be among
the first fast-casual chains to offer
this delivery service and are excited
to kick it off with this special offer for
our customers."
The door-to-door delivery
service continues to partner with a
variety of foodservice chains such
as Wendy's, Jason's Deli and White
Castle, to name a few.

momentous partnership by powering
Chipotle's in-app and web delivery
experience," said Christopher Payne,
chief operating officer of DoorDash.
Omaha Steaks, retailer of steaks,
seafood and food gifts for humans,
now offers a new line of premium dog
treats. The fifth-generation, familyowned company cites the nearly 78

INDIANA PACKERS TO BUY
SPECIALTY FOODS GROUP
Indiana Packers agreed to acquire
Specialty Foods Group LLC (SFG), an
independent producer and marketer
of premium branded and privatelabel processed meat products, for a
purchase price between $25 million
and $27 million. SFG sells a variety
of products including franks, hams,
bacon, lunch meats and deli meats.
The transaction, which is expected
to close in the third quarter of fiscal
2018, is subject to regulatory approval,
approval of the equity holders of SFG
and other conditions.
Specialty Foods Group Income
Fund, a Toronto, Ontario-based
open-ended limited purpose trust,
indirectly holds an interest in SFG.
In an announcement to shareholders,
the Fund said SFG has stopped
filing quarterly and annual financial
statements in addition to management
discussion about the company's profile
on SEDAR, the document filing system
of the Ontario Securities Commission.
PERDUE OPENS GEORGIA
DISTRIBUTION CENTER
Perdue Foods officially opened a
new Southeast Distribution Center
in Rincon, Georgia, on Sept. 5. The
company said the center will support
growth in its "No Antibiotics Ever" and
organic poultry product lines.
"Investments in the Southeast
Distribution Center will enable us
to meet the growing demand for
no-antibiotics-ever and organic chicken
and help us maintain the high level of
customer service and reliability that
customers expect from Perdue," said
Mark McKay, president of Perdue
Premium Poultry and Meats. "Lineage
has been a warehouse services provider
to Perdue for more than two decades,
and their investments in updated
technology will help us better serve our
Southeast customers."
According to the company, Perdue
invested $5 million into the distribution
center and added 100 new jobs. The
facility was a lease partnership with
Lineage Logisitcs, a temperaturecontrolled supply chain and logistics
provider. Lineage also added 55 new
warehouse jobs to supplement the
project and invested in facility and
equipment improvements.

OF PREMIUM DOG TREATS

Market research firm, Packaged Facts,
reports the sale of pet treats and chews
topped $6 billion in sales in 2017.

Omaha Steaks' new line of dog
treats are made in the US using
all-natural ingredients with no additives
or preservatives. The new line includes
smoked jerky dog treats in three
varieties, beef dog biscuits, smoked
pig ears and beef bone chews. The
company also offers dried steak treats
for both cats and dogs.
